About Us

Description

We are group of believers that love the Word of God, and we seek to apply New Testament teachings to our everyday lives and worship. We hope to share the Gospel’s good news that Jesus Christ is the marvelous gift from God and that through Him in true faith and repentance we can find peace, contentment and eternal life. We are an anabaptist denomination with an appreciation for discipleship, preserving sound doctrine, and serving others in the likeness of Christ.

History

Some 2000 years ago Jesus asked his followers to bind together to provide a haven for those seeking to know Him and his love. In the earliest churches they were focused on living out his teachings of mercy, compassion, and holy living. Over the centuries since those first gatherings, we find ourselves seeking the same community of a group of believers bound together loving as Jesus loved. We are one of over 90 congregations in the Apostolic Christian Church of America. Our congregation was established in the 1970’s as families moved to the area for work. Since that time we have provided an opportunity for folks to worship and hear His word. In 2019 we completed a remodel and expansion of our congregation.

Since our church is not located directly in Philadelphia, we refer to ourselves as the Malvern-Philadelphia congregation to reflect the fact that we live and work in the greater metropolitan area.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Matthew 18:20
